Historic Skills, Modern Management
The skills that go into the making of a Glengarnock garment are the foundation of the centuries-old Scottish textile industry.
But to bring that quality to the marketplace demands investment in modern equipment and a willingness to respond to changing market conditions. Our modern factory in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, lies in the heart of the traditional textile community, yet perfectly placed for road, rail and air communications.
A Quality Label
At Glengarnock real tailoring skills still matter. Our garments are distinguished by quality finishing and genuine attention to detail. Despite this traditional approach to manufacture – or perhaps because of it - we are customer-focused and technically orientated company competing vigorously in today’s international garment marketplace.
Turnaround is fast and our modern manufacturing facilities allow us to respond to the most exacting quality requirements. The highest quality standards are maintained by the company and are supported by a computerised marker making and work in progress system. Production is set at a level which allows both commercial efficiency and personal responsibility for quality.
Design Matters
The essence of Glengarnock garments lies in their individual design and finish. Each order is manufactured to your precise instructions, either from designs created by our in-house team or to your own patterns/specifications.
The choice of fabric is crucial to the success of any garment, and we are able to draw on years of experience in sourcing fabrics from around the world; from the finest luxury wool and wool blends to corduroy, loden and moleskin. We also work very closely with your own designers, exchanging ideas and fine tuning design features such as customised buttons and waistbanding in order to achieve that ‘exclusive’ look that is so important in today’s retail climate.
Glengarnock trousers can be found on the rails of the most exclusive stores throughout Britain and around the world.
